Covid has already claimed the lives of 1 in 500 Americans; the death rate is higher in New York
According to CNN, around one in 500 Americans has perished from the coronavirus outbreak that began last year.
As of 10:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, the Johns Hopkins University research found that 663,913 people had died in the United States since the beginning of the year. In reality, it is 0.2% of the total U.S. population of 331.4 million people.
