Covid has already claimed the lives of 1 in 500 Americans; the death rate is higher in New York


According to CNN, around one in 500 Americans has perished from the coronavirus outbreak that began last year.

As of 10:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, the Johns Hopkins University research found that 663,913 people had died in the United States since the beginning of the year. In reality, it is 0.2% of the total U.S. population of 331.4 million people.

According to the CDC, approximately 12,000 to 61,000 Americans die each year from the flu. Covid has murdered nearly a hundred eighteen-year-olds throughout the last two years.

New York’s death rate from Covid is greater, with 54,574 out of the 19.45 million New Yorkers who’ve perished from the virus. When compared to the rest of the country, the state’s death rate is twice as high.

New York is third with 66,716 total deaths, which is followed by California (66,654) and Texas (64,365). (58,901). The Sunshine State, with its 49,254 fatalities, ranks fourth.
